20 Samsung Galaxy S4 million passed. And doubts?

Launched late April, the last born of the Samsung Galaxy S, the S4 range, would be passed to 20 million units. 20 million terminals delivered (and not sold to the final consumer), it's better than for the S3 for which the manufacturer had to wait 100 days to achieve this milestone.

If the balance is not yet officially claimed by Samsung, it should not delay, reports the iNews24 site that the manufacturer will soon conduct a press conference to celebrate, with great fanfare, this new stage.

Doubts of analysts and fear of a slowdown

A month after the release, Samsung had announced triumphantly 10 Galaxy S4 million sold in the world. The 4th generation smartphone would be one for which the rate of adoption is the higher the official figures from the constructor.

Yet doubts remain. JP Morgan has reduced from 80 to 60 million its forecast of sales for the S4 this year. In question, a slowdown in demand illustrated by the reduction alleged Samsung supplies from its suppliers. An assumption contradicted by Korean.

In the first months of the year, i.e. before the launch of the S4, Samsung has what it is claimed his power. Thus Korean represents in the first quarter almost 95% of the proceeds from the sale of smartphones Android. Android mobile OS market share was 75 per cent over the same period.

Undisputed domination in the first quarter, but competition

Still in the first quarter, Samsung shipped 70.7 million smartphones in the world, for a market share of 32.7%, compared with 17.3 percent for his rival, Apple. And in Europe, the domination of the Korean is even sharper with a PDM of 45%, up 6 points over a year.

Is Samsung so far above the fray? No, no more than other manufacturers of smartphones. Moreover, on the occasion of the presentation of financial results in April, Korean clearly emphasized the tightening of competition and anticipated stability of sales to the 2nd quarters - followed by a new rise in the 2nd half.
